- EXTENDED Call for partnerships: United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invites not-for-profit international and national partners operating in Trinidad and Tobago to implement a 8 months contract on "National Outlook on Indigenous and local knowledge ofbiodiversity".The Implementing Partner will collaborate with UNESCO and the Ministry of Planning and Development of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. UNESCO 's Local and Indigenous Knowledge Systems (LINKS) Programme and the Ministry shall provide technical expertise and backstopping on Indigenousand local knowledge.Objective of this Call for Partnership:1. Examine the state of Indigenous and local knowledge (ILK) of biodiversity and ecosystem services in Trinidad and Tobago and highlight ILK documentation gaps2. Evaluate the degree of Evaluate the degree of inclusion ofILK incorporation in the revised Trinidad and Tobago's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) and national targets in line with GBF3. Evaluate the degree of inclusion of ILK in biodiversity policies4. Based on identified capacity gaps, organize tailored capacitybuilding workshops and ILK knowledge exchange forum between IPLCs and national policymakers, to strengthen mainstreaming of ILK into NBSAP implementation and national reporting in Trinidad and Tobago.Fixed budget envelope of $70,000 has been allocated for this initiative.Activities are detailed inthe ...
